just wondering but is it really weird diving during your monthly cycle? i mean it seems like a pain in the butt?!

If you haven't any difficulty doing normal activity during your period (severe cramps or the like), you probably won't even notice the difference. I find getting in the water makes me feel better, actually, especially if I've cramps. (but there's not much a good dive won't improve!)

Not to get too icky (but hey, you did ask *grin*)... I do find diving with tampons to be kind of annoying. I mean, obviously you can't dive with pads, but tampons are constructed to absorb, so when you jump into the water they... start doing a lot of absorbing, and it feels pretty uncomfortable, especially if you're on a boat and can't change it for a new one. I've been considering trying the keeper, actually... I like the idea that it's environmentally friendly, and it would seem to help with the whole tampon-trying-to-suck-up-the-ocean problem. If I wind up getting one, I will let you know how it works!

thanks a lot. i just realized i scheduled an advanced course during my monthly cycle so i just wanted to b prepared!

I have never had problems. I have horrible ones too and totally erratic. It always shows up when I need to go on a big trip. Make sure you are comfortable with what you are using and you will be fine. I have never had problems and I find that diving always shortens my cycle. GOod Luck

To help with the problem of a tampon absorbing the ocean---remember that the string that "dangles out" can serve as a wick. By tucking it into the vaginal canal SLIGHTLY, can help out.
