Hi,
My husband bought me a C5060 with a PT 020 for xmas with a pelican 1450 case. I was playing with it last night and I don't think the PT 020 will fit.
What do other PT 020 users use? I have no strobe yet but had planned on leaving a space for one. The concern I have is the height of the housing. I'll mostly be doing local boat trips with minimal airline travel. I have a boat trip Sunday and wanted to take everything with me.
Thanks

I have a PT-15 and mine has to have a depth clearance of at least 7" and I prefer more. You have to look at the inside depths. Pelican's 1610 case is 7 7/8" inside depth.

I generally carry mine in a padded backpack.

thanks, the 1450 case has 6" height inside. I talked to scuba.com (I live real close and go there a lot) and they said that it will fit and is used a lot.
Anyone use one?

I Use a Pelican 1550 for the same gear you have. It holds Housing, Camera, External Strobe and Arm with room to spare for charger and other cables. You can look at all of the Pelican Dimensions at www.pelican.com

Allison Finch:
Will they let you trade it for a deeper box?

Maybe, but they're telling me they use that case for that housing all the time. Argh. I may just jump to the 1510, but I really don't know. :(

It doesn't matter what they use, that's THEIR choice. But I don't see how a housing that is taller/wider than 6" (depending on how you place it) will fit! My PT-15 is over 6" and I *think* the PT-20 is just a tad bigger.

If at all possible, exchange it for a bigger one. They should be willing to do that.

I just called them and will be getting a 1510 which has wheels and is 7.5" tall. I feel better now, but hated the idea of changing what I had. Just me.
I won't have it for my boat trip Sunday so I'll probably get some kind of LowerPro bag for this weekend.
Thanks!

I think you'll be glad you did!

you know, it's like technology buys. Always buy something bigger or more than you think you need so you don't have to re-buy it in six months. I was just in denial.
