Hello Everybody

I am new to this board, but have been diving for some years.

I am currently planning to go to South Africa to do some diving:D . I am going to Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks.

What can I expect this time of year? I am going end of February beginning of March.

I have planned to do 2 days of diving at each place - if I was to spent more time at one place where would you do it? I dont have the money to gp to Sodwana bay, so not an option.

Also I have been in contact with a company called Adventuredives - anybody know wanything about there operation?

Is diving in Cape Town any good - except fron the GW cage dives - I have heard about Kelp dives and seal dives - anybody have any info on that.

Happy diving ever one and thanks a bunch

Stefan

Stefan

We have experienced great dives on Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks all year round, although winter months (May-Sept) are my favourite. ShoalDiverSA might be able to say how the Shoal has been behaving lately.

With the time and budget you seem to have, I will stick with the Shoal.

CapeTown can be great, but I do not have a lot of experience there.

Pitty you will not be able to go to Sodwana - would have been worth it.

PM ShoalDiverSA for more info on Aliwal Shoal and the operators there.
