Hi,

I'm new to the board, and am going on vacation in May to the Iberostar Paraiso Beach resort. The dive shop on premises is Dressel Divers. I was looking for some recent reviews of their services from this location.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to SB!! :happywave Put us in your favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue:

We have forums for various parts of the world. You might research your questions on that, then ask questions we can answer...?

don
:D

Although Dressel would be convienent for you being right on site, you will pay almost twice as much as other independant dive ops for the same service.

Do a search. There is alot of opinon on Dressel and info on other great ops in the area

My experience with Dressel divers... I'd STAY away from them.. they about ruined my trip to the mexican riviera a few years ago, this was at the Barcelo Maya, to long of a story to elaborate. Somewhere though I hope I've kept the e-mails back and forth from their spokesman, Paublo. By the third e-mail he had it figured out that when I said "free diving", I was talking about "apnea diving", not diving for "free".. oh yeah, o.k.,, "apnea diving" would not be a problem, they'll cater to me. Yeah, bull. They wouldn't even give me a few lbs of lead to go for shore dives let alone go on the boat! Ended up buying lead from the boat captain, (he was a bit more accomodating, probably sold me Dressels lead) and going off resort for some of the freediving. BTW. the boat captain said I never should have gone through Dressels.. should have just approached him in the first place.
Guess I told my story anyway.
