Hi Loi!

Welcome to the board...I've been reading your posts on OCdivenews...Always enjoy them.:D

You're going to Vietnam? How cool is that? I learned to dive in Thailand. I so wish I knew to appreciate it more than I did. My log book for die #6 says "instructor says vis poor today...poonly 20-30 METERS..." now, I am happy with 10-20 feet!

HAHAHA :rofl3:
Hi Laurel,
It was nice to finally meet you at Laguna Hills Mall a few weeks ago at the SCD gathering (but on which day you had another commitment and couldn't dive with us). You got certified in Thailand? Phuket? How cool! :35: We had originally planned to visit Phuket a few days during our upcoming trip to Vietnam. But in the end, it turned out that we just cannot do it on this trip. Some day I'll make it there and will definitely do some dives (Anemone Reef, Shark Point, etc.), especially now that I know poor viz there equates to 60-90 feet...

Loi... will definitely be interested in your experiences in Nha Trang. It's been on my list for several years, partly because I have a strong desire to visit Vietnam.

I was certified outside of Pattaya, not Phuket. From what I see and read Phuket may be a bit over-rated...not sure. Because Pattaya was completely amazing...we went to the state reserves, down the coast quite a bit to do our diving at different Koh's...Koh Samue, and I dont remember any moe and am too lazy to get off my behind and search through my old logs...;)

Maybe I'll see you tomorrow morning?

Laurel
