# of dives
After a couple of years away from scuba diving, I suddenly remembered why it was an important part of my life in the past. And, while there is no great diving within short driving distance from Bangkok, some of the world's best diving is a short plane flight away from here. So, I came back to scuba. I have done 10 dives in the last month, pushing my total logged dives to 523 (I am guessing that my actual number of dives is over a 1000 because in the late 80s I did not log any of the dives that I did as an open water instructor around Melbourne, Australia).

I have two immediate scuba goals:

- Migrate from underwater still photography (see my website at www.peterwalker.com) to underwater video, and;

- Bring my wife into scuba diving (a process already started by strengthening her swimming skills and water confidence).

Next big dive trip planned: 10-day liveaboard out of Phuket and the end of the year.

Regards
Peter

HI Peter, and welcome to SB. I've only been diving for 3 years, and for me it's 2 or 3 plane rides to good diving, but I've always enjoyed traveling, so it works with that well. Nice to have you back in it with us here, and El Orans gave you some good links to click. Hope you enjoy the entire board.

Its called a joke, but I guess a sense of humor isnt needed to dive.
