Hello Everybody
I've done lots of snorkelling, but I'm a virgin diver. I'm off to Phuket in 5 days and plan to do the PADI Open Water course. I came across this site whilst searching the net for Phuket dive school recommendations, i've seen the thread about the guy going on honeymoon, any other recommendations / tips would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

i'm after recommendations for dive schools in phuket - i found a list on the PADI site and mailed a number of them, three replied and have replied promptly to supplementary questions: Santana Diving, Scuba Cat and Warm Water Divers. I've seen Scuba Cat and Warm Water mentioned in some of the Asian threads, i wondered if any posters had positive / negative comments about any of these.

Best bet would be post specific operator questions in the Asia section, plenty of guys out there will tell you what they think ;)

Lots of new PADI divers ---anways welcome and hello---BLa, BLa, Bla

Welcome to SB!! :happywave Put us in your favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue:

I was pretty good at freediving when I got to Scuba, too; I think it helped me feel comfortable in the water, breathing thru a mouthpiece and all. Now, don't hold your breath or ascend fast, things we did as freedivers.

don
:D
