We are in the one of the best places for diving in the U.S. Continental area and we (ScubaBoarders...Florida Conch Divers or FCD for short) take advantage of it anytime we can. Just check in to the FCD section often and you will find a dive that should interest you. Any dive posted is an open invitation to get wet. It is proper SB etiquette to just invite yourself to any dive listed here 
It's a short drive to Venice Beach for you and you can buddy up with several of us locals for a Shark Tooth Hunt.
