I enjoyed Lauderdale by the Sea. There’s a tech diving shop a block from the pier. I’ve seen people diving/hunting right from the beach north of Beach place in Ft. Lauderdale as well. Not exactly challenging but decent shallow diving that’s super convenient.

Sadly, I have noticed lots of changes since I was there last. Climate change and the glut of inconsiderate boaters, and some divers that don’t care has really crapped up some of these once pristine places. I took a friend and my dad to patch reefs north from inlet at Big Pine Key and enjoyed some really clean, vibrant waters teeming w/ fish and other sea life. From what I hear now it’s all rock, and sand. 😢
