I live in Mobile, AL close to the gulf. I've been certified since 95 and like to dive in the FL keys each year. I bought my 18 year old son his own gear for a HS grad present and he will be getting certified soon. I'm looking forward to diving with him and he is stoked about the new gear...has thanked me every day for a week after he got it.
 
Welcome and remember-you don't have to drive all the way to the keys to go diving. Lots of good places here to get wet.
