I am at $3.50 in Detroit. There is one other shop in the state with availability that I am aware of. He is the same price I believe.

$3.50 / cf is what you charge or what you pay from a supplier?
 
The gas suppliers seem to be very restrictive with their supplies. They're also applying large surcharges to each helium bottle, if you can get it.

Open circuit scuba's out of the question.

Now paying 5pence/6cents a litre but only because my gas dealer's managed to get a decent price.

We’re at the end of the season for helium demand here in the Great Lakes region. A friend did his CCR Helitrox class in late October. He told me the He cost was pretty high.
 
I paid $18.50/cf for a fill last week in WI...

That did not include blending fees/etc
Holy crap. That is the worst I have heard yet.
It is less than that in Truk Lagoon.
