Considering that a CG helicopter is the usual form of evac for DCS victims, I'm guessing it's not a problem.

I don't remember how much it cost, but it is worth doing once, I think, just for the experience.
I Found one video here:
Curacao Scuba Diving - Dive Charter Curacao the best boat dive adventure in the Caribbean.
It seems like the boat is already on site when the divers hit the water.
RoatanMan:No pilot in his right mind would fly with two fully geared-up amateur bozos who could afford to hire the chopper for the day...
Oh, I enjoy helicopters a lot. I used to use the downtown heliport in lower Manhattan--which was a couple of blocks from my apartment--to streamline the trip to Newark Airport. (Not as expensive as you would think, and no waiting at check-in.) And when I have the urge to flush extra money down the drain I take the helicopter from Hong Kong to Macau to gamble and eat good Portuguese food. But the heli-diving I did in Cairns did not involve flying in gear or jumping off of the helicopter into the water--it was just a commute out to the reef with my dive bag in the back seat. So, not a lot of adrenaline involved. More like heli-commuting and diving than heli-diving.I love, love, love to skydive and clearly I love scuba diving. I've done some flights in a helicopter which is quite different than a plane. I think I am curious enough, if given the opportunity, to try it (as you said, at least once). Curious why do you say just once... Not as exciting as you thought it would be?
