There is a halcyon gear bag for sale on ebay right now.

Curt Bowen:
simple plastic tub you can by for $19.95 at wallmart works great for my team. good for about 1 year of heavy travel, then buy a new one.

I ganked a recycling tub from my old apartment and use that for holding my gear together on my boat. It works great. I just need something more geared for carrying and travel.

Thanks for the input!

For Travel I use CODE ALPHA bag, which is excellent, relatively inexpensive, and looks very very cool! Lifetime warranty on those babies too! This bag, has very cool straps inside for holding fins on each side of the bag, which also add extra protection for all your stuff in-between. it's holds all my gear, including a drysuit and a Pro14 canister, which is huge (oh, I am getting rid if this monster anyway)... an excellent bag.

it has a pretty cool dive flag logo too, though it's very discrete and doesn't advertise around what's inside. oh, the bag also transforms into a back pack if needed. or you can just use the wheels.

I've been thinking of replacing my plastic tubs and dolly with a Stahlsac Catalina Cargo Pack. Lifetime guarantee and seems to be very well thought out. I've looked at this one at my LDS and it's very well made. They have a bigger one, but I don't think I need to go there.

Anyone have any feedback on this one?

In the meanwhile, I continue to cart my Rubbermaid tubs around on a dolly. :crafty:

I have used this one since 1998 (used to be called Stahlsack XL or something similar) and my bag has been logged around the world. It is of great quality and you cannot go wrong there. The wheel base on mine has finally cracked apart but it still rolls, and the clear coat lining on the inside came/flaked off a year or so ago.

Would I buy it again? Certainly, but I think I will try the Pelican route next time.
