OK, we're coming close to making some decisions. We're thinking of staying at the Sunset Inn and diving with Key Dives, both in Islamorada. Any thoughts before we book?

I second (or third) the Fish House! I had Conch Fritters and a Blackened Grouper Sandwich. The Key Lime pie for desert was as good as I've ever tasted!

I agree with Ocean Point Suites. Very cheap, clean and roomy. But if you can spend a few extra bucks, go with Marina Del Mar. There are a dozen very good dive ops within 100ft, all on that same canal. And it's also next door to Divers Direct in case you have an urge to buy new equipment.
Do some searches on this forum. There have been a ton of detailed suggestions for hotels, restaurants and dive ops. You'll get more info than you can use.
