Hadn't considered hypercapnia - that could certainly be the issue as well, but I would have thought it wouldn't be limited to just the nitrox.
 
I guess I will have to make a little more of a concious effort to breath correctly, instead of trying to make my air go as far as possible. Thanks for the help!
 
I am confused. I thought, up to a certain point, more oxygen in the mix would make you feel better, not give you a headache? I guess I better do some more reading about this subject.

I actually quit smoking three months ago Christmas day. Looking forward to my lungs clearing up a lot more in the coming months and being able to enjoy that increased oxygen metabolism.

It's been almost 2 years since I quit smoking. I still get winded easy, and I haven't noticed much of a difference in air consumption. I'm sure that more exercise, and losing the 20 lbs that I gained since I quit would help!!
