I usually get these headaches when I really feel cold underwater and then surfacing to the heat of the sun. (In the Philippines) It can be caused by the immediate change of temperature, or can also be caused when your chilling underwater. (gritting your teeth hard can give you a headache)

I oughta get myself a hood and see if this can really help me a lot.

Regarding the nauseous feeling, i've had my share of that when I was a novice in diving. I usually am the first one to run low on air, but right now, I don't feel that nauseatic feeling anymore when I improved my air consumption.

If you are getting chilled in the water, a hood - or a beane - will certainly help. You can lose a lot of heat out of your head, which is one reason why outdoors people in the state wear hats. :cowboy:

I have had problems a couple times with getting a headache after a dive (<60' depth dive). Today, I went diving and received my AOW, but after the last dive, I came up with a bad headache. I was curious whether it might be from dehydration. I'd like to figure it out as it is not fun. I don't feel nauseous or anything, just a bad headache.
