IIRC, there was also a recently updated Cochrane study which found no compelling evidence of the technique being effective. But personally, I've seen enough weird stuff -- including a Polynesian exorcism -- to keep an open mind on complementary/alternative methods so long as it doesn't interfere with protocols or disturb the workplace, staff, or patients.
