This video clip is a few yrs old and short, but it's pretty crazy.
We were diving the Sea Tiger at night and the Hawaiian Bigeyes ('aweoweo) were swarming the wreck, so there we dozens of Amber Jacks circling just outside of light range. I spotted one and followed it with the camera as it circled me, only to have it strike like a bolt of lightning!!! You can see the flex light get knocked in front of the lens.....and you may hear some expletives at the end...sorry but I was startled!

A witness said the fish looked almost as long as I am tall. I can't say for sure, but it damn near broke my finger when it hit!

lol.. i've had fish attack and latch onto the chrome buckles on my jet fins :D

those damsels are vicious too..

we forget.. these fish are carnivores :eyebrow: yikes!
