I'm thinking of making my own hawaiian backplate, and was wondering what kind of bands are used to hold the tank. Most seem to be some kind of stainless band with a clamping mechanism, but I havent seen a good picture yet and I'm not sure what they are exactly.

I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out!

Thanks

Look up DaleC here on Scubaboard, he made up one recently, with pics. You could PM him for details. It may be on the Vintage Board.

Thanks guys, the bands DaleC use are not what I'm looking for. I'm hoping to find information on the bands used in some of the packs that were sold commercially.

In the thread diversteve mentions, theres a picture showing one:

I've seen a few different models, some wider and some thinner. Some seemed adjustable and quick to change tanks.

I'd like to find out more about those that are adjustable and which ones were preferred and why. Were they home made, or can they be bought?

Thanks!
