I've seen some really tall boots. I'm not sure why they make them but saw them the other day while at the dive shop. I asked the sales person, but he had no idea. The tank still sits the same height like you say, but the boot was much taller for some reason. Maybe I could put a spacer inside.
"Tall boots" mostly extend further up the tank wall. The bottom of the tank isn't substantively higher off the bench
 
Yea I haven a couple but those things are freakin heavy.
I have some 133s and a 149, those don’t get used much except on deep lobster spots. I actually couldn’t believe how “small” the 100s looked to my eye sicne I got so used to having there’s large tanks around. Also have a 72 Faber LP which is great for shallow spots. That was actually the first steel that got me hooked and now I only diving those, Al on dove boats only
 
So I would get a piece of 4" or 6' PVC pipe and cut it to the length you need and set it down under the tank as you put it in the rack.
