I just tested out my new mask the Cressi Nano in the water for fit. This is my second Cressi and I loved my first mask I bought 20 years ago, I'm a petite female with a small face so finding the Cressi was a score. I really want to love this Cressi Nano, it's small, but I'm finding that the inner eye frame presses against the top part of my nose and it's so ultra low volume that I can feel my eye lashes slightly brushing against part of the inner eye frame. Do I have the mask on too tight or is this a common problem with the Nano? I can loosen the mask a little and it's fine but worried while diving it will start squeezing to the point of discomfit.

Sure, a couple dives might be fine but I'm going on a 12 day Liveaboard.

I have heard of other people having the same problem with ultra low volume masks. I use a similar mask for scuba and snorkeling and have no issues with that. So I guess everyone is different.

One thing I can tell you is that the mask I use fits me extremely well and leakage is not an issue - especially for scuba. I wear the mask trap pretty loose because the mask fits so well like that, plus the very low profile means the mask is much less likely to get knocked off by a buddy's fin kick or something. It does not need to be tight.

Do try it with the loosest mask strap, you feel comfortable with.

Thank you John. Happy to hear it's a common problem, not just the shape of my face. I really want to keep this mask so the trick might be keeping it as loose as possible.
