Quick question for some locals, was looking at the tide chart for PCB and wanted to dive the jetties at St Andrew Sunday afternoon. The low tide is around 3:30, and was wondering if it would decent enough to dive around 5-6 that afternoon. Thanks for any replies

you really want to dive it at "high slack tide" for the best is and the lowest current.

my guess is that by 5-6 pm, you'll have an incoming current that will be a "little stiff" to dive in.

EDIT:. btw. for anyone reading, no oil on the beach in Destin... which is west of PCB by an hour. so PCB is good for now.

High tide is 11:00am Start diving at 9:00 (assuming you'll do two tanks) and you'll have time to get the (probable) best viz.

Yeah, me and the family are passing through headed to Disney and then the Keys for some diving. Was wanting to get a lil wet Sunday, was gonna stop in PCB for the day around noon. Worse case senerio, do some snorkeling. I'm on here just about every day checking out the forums, hopefully one day get to meet you guys. Me and the family love PCB, espesciallly St Andrews.

Just was out today with the guys from Dive Locker (btw, awesome dive shop to work with) and we had some choppy seas but vis was about 40-50 inside the bay. These were my first dives in the area, and I cant wait to get back.
