Why do you want to slide a weigh pouch from the rear and have it go past the shoulder strap? I want my weight pockets to be as far back on the sides as they'll go. To me, having it up against the back plate and having the shoulder strap there to keep it from accidentally sliding forward is a bonus.

Well sir, thank you very much.
I truly appreciate your feedback.

Because there's no space between the end of the belt and the shoulder strap.
I purchased a compact dive rite weight pocket that looks to be about 3 inches in length while the area between the shoulder strap and end of bcd is about 2 inches.

So I have to ask, are you speaking out of experience or theory?
If experience, then please help me fit it there.

Thanks, Stuart.

I have about 4.5" between the BP and the shoulder strap. My DGX weight pockets are only about 2.5" wide, measured across the width of the belt loops on the back of the weight pouch. I did not have one loose that I could put on to demonstrate.

If you don't have that much room there, maybe you need a different size waist belt?

Another good point, Stuart.
Instead of buying a new one, maybe I can slip it into the first notch, like you, and cut off the slack.
Then sew it back up.

that line cutter looks a little precarious.

Is the crotch strap you have attached to the BC a Scubapro crotch strap made specifically for this BC or is it something you adapted for use with the BC?

Also, can you reach back and open the buckles to release the weights quickly?

Hello burhan

It's a 2" zeagle.
There's a horizontal 2" slot at the bottom of the back plate designed to slot in any 2" webbing.

Yes, it was relatively easy to unbuckle the pocket.
The red strap makes lifting the cap easy.

I'll have to practice underwater though.

The pockets could be threaded on upside down to make dumping the weights faster/easier.

Something I'm considering.

But I should mention that I dive with 4kg in a rash guard with virtually no air in my bcd.
I am not terribly negative-buoyant.
