We had a pair of tank come into the shop for their annual visual inspection, not to long ago. These tanks were identical, only being a few numbers apart on their serial numbers. But, one of them just looked different.
Upon removing the valve we discovered that the different tank's valve didn't really engage the threads. Even being all the down you could wiggle the valve around. Taking a good hard look at the tanks, the different tank looked like it was very slightly swelled up. Both tanks had been hydro'd in last couple of years.
Any ideas?
