I contacted Extreme-Exposure about Halcyon wing maintenance, but they don't seem to care as I have yet to get a reply.

So, who else should I contact to have my Halcyon Wing looked at for yearly maintenance etc..?

THanks,

Jason

Is it leaking? Do you take care of it (ie rinse it)? Yearly maintenance...whats that?

I've got a 14 year old diver rite wing that is in perfect shape aside from the tiniest bit of rot on the corrugated rubber hose (no leak). I still use it frequently - actually three weeks ago in the Channel Is. Its never seen a maintenance. Halcyon should be at least that good.

Ja,
Couldn't you take it to any reputable LDS and have them give a look-see at it and assess its condition.

I don't take my wing or Zeagle BC to a dive shop for inspection/service.

Extremely frayed frabric is easy to detect. Immersing the inflated wing in a bath tub is sufficient to detect any leaks of the bladder or around the area of the inflate/deflate hose.

With your number of dives I'm sure you are more than capable of determining the condition of your wing than some potential new-hire at a LDS.

er... aren't they getting hit with a hurricane down there at the moment? I'd give them a little time to respond. I've had nothing but good experiences with Extreme-Exposure in the past.

So have I c_1matst, but I did email them way before the hurricane hit, but you're right, I'll give them more time.

The Kracken, the wing looks fine, performs fine, have had no issues with it, but I know jack about equipment repair so I would prefer someone take a look see before I go on my liveaboard trip in January.

I don't think my LDS would look at the wing as they don't sell Halcyon equipment, but I guess I could ask.

Thanks!

This may be a stupid question but did you try just calling them on the phone?

Same here and they are among the most polite people I have ever spoke to on the phone. Everything is "Yes Sir this and Yes Sir that" Try 'em again.

No, I will not call them...that would involve picking up a phone and actually talking to somebody. I am much to shy to do that. :)

However, when a business has an email account, and I email them, I expect a timely response. Maybe I just wont get the wing serviced, screw it...its only a wing..right?
