My Ballast recently went bad in my Helios 10 Watt. I took it over to my local dealer and asked them to call Halcyon for a quote. I got a call back from the shop later quoting me $140 installed. So I told them to sent it in.
About two weeks later I got a message from the shop telling me the light was back. I went back to pick it up and they said Halcyon replaced the ballast, cord, and O Rings. And I start to think... I was quoted 140, this is going to be a problem.
But to my surprise, the salesman pulls out the invoice and says $11. In spite of the three different owners names carved into the can and the Batteries Plus replacement battery the entire repair was covered under warranty. I just had to cover shipping.
