So tell me how you would rescue an unsconcious diver in warm water?
If we assume that you need 25 pounds to sink your undergarment, and your gear is 10 pounds negative while full of air, then you'd need 15 more pounds with full tanks, and then you add what is necessary to offset the weight of the air in your tank. In this case the wing would need to be able to support 15 pounds (plus a bit for a safety margin).
Could anybody(who dives in cold water with a drysuit, thinsulate 400 and steel tank) confirm that 30lb wing is enough?
Sorry, didn't catch - why the wing "would need to be able to support 15 pounds" if the whole rig should be 25pounds(to sink the undergarment)?
There's enough lift to float the rig on the surface without me in it ... albeit, it rides noticeably lower with the 130. YMMV
If your undergarment needs 25 pounds to sink, and you wear 25 pounds of lead to sink it...
