G'Afternoon Oysters!

My LDS in Amarillo recently acquired a set of Halcyon Gear and a set of double AL80's that he is trying to sell. In Amarillo, we do not have any shops that cater to the minimalist approach to diving and therefore probably will not sell in Amarillo. I thought that since there is a fair amount of Colorado and New Mexico divers who dive that way I would post it here and see what we come up with. :)

Here is what he has (or that I've seen anyways.):

1 x Halcyon SS 6lbs Backplate
1 x Halcyon 40# Explorer Doubles Wing
1 x Halcyon 18# Eclipse Wing (Atleast I believe it's an 18# wing. It may be a 30#)
1 x Halcyon ACB Weighting System
2 x Halcyon Halogen Scout Backup Lights (The old model without the fancy grip)
1 x Halcyon Divers Life Raft
1 x Set of AL80 Double Tanks w/ Halcyon Bands and Manifold (I just stopped by quickly this afternoon, so I didn't see what brand the tanks were, but they have a fresh hydro and vis).

There is also a set of regulators for the tanks. One is a Mares and the other is an Abyss. I'm not familiar enough with either brand of those regulators, so I can not tell you the model numbers.

From my quick inspection all gears looks to be in fantastic shape. From what I understand my LDS owner acquired the gear from a person who was cleaning out his storage shed. There also maybe a canister light that may I might be able to get the original owner to sell. Let me know if you have any more questions or you can contact Gene at Amarillo Scuba Center at 806-359-DIVE (3483).

For shipping we can probably work out a deal where I meet the buyers at the Blue Hole one weekend. :)

Hey buddy,
I would be interested in hearing about the single tank wing, (if it is an Eclipse then I think it is the #30, I don't think they made an #18 Eclipse) and more about the can light (what model, how old, etc.)
Thanks and take care,
Jason

Hey Jason,

I'll see if I can get some more information for you. The guy who was doing the "house cleaning" still has the canister light. I'll see if I can get the contact information from Gene so I can quiz him on it. Are you diving this weekend? I'm working an open water class this weekend and would like to stay after Sunday and do some personal dives.

I would like to, but I have to pick up my wife from the airport. I'll check the schedule, but I don't think I can sqeeze it in. Any idea when you might go after that?

H made an 18# Bat wing in the Pioneer line. They are very hard to find these days... but are FANTASTIC wings. Did it look like this...

Yes, it is one of those things that I have heard about but never seen. Is that one yours?

Similar, but it's a donut wing. It does not have a zipper to remove the inner bladder and seems to be seemed on the sides like your picture. Maybe a 30# Pioneer? I haven't actually seen many Halcyon single tank wings and unfortunately they don't have any label on them that have a model number. :) If need be, I can post pictures.

It's somewhat hard to say with gas prices, but I'm going to try to shoot for my next off weekend, June 9-10? We'll also need to plan on another July 4 shindig.

Donut with no zipper does sound like a pioneer, should be able to tell about how old it is from a picture. I am still interested, and my dad has been looking for a can light.
If your LDS person is willing, you might want to post what he is looking to get for each item, might generate some more interest. If not i'll make and offer if I can see it or a pic.

That sounds good, I will do my best to make it too, it has been too long. You should have seen me, alan, and juli trying to do a 3-man ascent drill yesterday, it was pretty amusing I'm sure...
