Wow!!
Does this mean that the new system has made such great strides and advancements as to cause it outperform the other system.
Or, was the other system just an overrated underperformer, leaving enough room for the newer system's perceived "vast" improvements?
I was just stating the fact that the people who have upgraded to the "Cinch", have really enjoyed the benefits (Easy to adjust & get in and out of and 1 continuous pc of webbing) to the upgrade. It has nothing to do with a standard BP & Harness being an
"overrated under-performer". Seriously, How do you get to that. It (Cinch Harness) is a "Feature" thing and either you find that feature appealing and practical for you or you don't.
Ex1: I had a recreational diver that loved the whole philosophy behind a BP & Harness system but he has a really bad shoulder. With Halcyon developing this "Cinch" System he was able to go with what he wanted but now it created a lot less stress on his shoulder because it was so much easier to get in & out of.
Ex2: I have a Dive Team that can now fit different sized guys with the same rig which makes it easier when responding to emergencies.
IMHO, if you are talking "Performance", then that comes from the "System" (BP/Wing/STA) and their Performance is Great whether you are in and
Eclipse or
Infinity System. Webbing/Harness has nothing to do with performance
unless it is not configured properly for you. When not adjusted right (Webbing/Harness) then that could impede the performance (Buoyancy, Trim, Valve Management) of the diver.
