Ugh...I'll be there on Oct. 11th for underwater pumpkin carving and to knock off one of my dives for my advanced open water...hopefully it's better than what everyone has reported lately! I was at Pearl Lake last weekend and vis was fantastic!

Fantastic viz and Pearl Lake are not normally in the same sentence. :)

Viz probably won't get any better at Haigh. The sulfur is starting to come up and it will make everything pitch black (deeper than 40 feet). Plus it will make your gear all stinky.

I just got a report from the Meetup that viz at Haigh wasn't all that bad today. 30ft if you get away from all the activity. I haven't been there in awhile, but plan on being there next weekend, if anyone wants to meet me.

I was there yesterday. The vis was in the 30's by the truck and the fish hatchery. The boat was ok like 20' the rock crusher was 10'.

Hahahahaha! Yeah, that's what I thought when we pulled in and were told that viz was good. It was though (for Pearl Lake standards I guess). We had about 25 feet as long as no one was kicking up silt.

Hopefully Haigh is as good as everyone is saying it has been lately on the 11th...and hopefully our gear won't be too stinky. I guess it's a good thing I bought wet suit wash....
