would welcome anyone's ideas into their habitat design - any pics or dimensions and materials used would be appreciated
Currently redesigning ours and looking to get some input on what youve come up with both good an bad. We have currently a pvc type dome with straps connected to aluminium poles. The main issue is when it loaded it tends too put a large dome on the top and the stretching creates tiny holes which obviously leak.
The problem with leaks is constantly topping up the habitat with nitrox which may not seem like a big deal but when you have them inflated for long period its yet another task to have to attend to on an already busy day when your in a remote area and limited gas supplies
secondly the dome effect adds significant gas volume esp at 21 and 30m
thirdly we need to reduce the possibility of a tear or rip when under load (this wears on your mind )
fourthly getting out of the water (6º) is crucial
thanks in advance here is a pic of what we have - PM me if you prefer
