H-valves on dive trips?

Going to cabo and will not bring my steel HP 130 tank.
Has anyone ever brought their own H-valve with them for redundancy on far-away dive trips? If so, were the cattle boats amenable to using your valve on their tanks? Thanks
 
No, never have. Instead, I've rented an Al30 or 40 to sling, and either rented another reg, or brought my own for the slung bottle.
