Hey guys,

I'd be interested in diving with you guys. I'm from Hull and have a few friends in the area that wouldn't mind coming along as well. My mother works right around the corner from Gunrock. If there are a bunch of cars we can park at her work and throw everyones dive gear in my pickup and drive over.

The weekends are usually when I dive.

what is the parking situation there? i kinda have a problem with throwing my stuff in a strangers p/u, dont take offense.

There is no parking lot, and the spaces that are there are parking by permit only. I have a quad pickup. There is room in the bed for all the gear and 5 people (including me) can sit in the truck. My mother's work in 1/2 mile from the dive site. I think 5 guys could easily fit in my truck with their gear.

This is just an option. Finding a place to park for 1 truck with 5 guys will be a lot easier then 5 cars with 1 guy.

sounds like it just might work. i got to wait and see what my schedule is for sunday . will the am work for you?

Did you guys make it out to Gunrock? I went out Saturday night. It was nice. I saw a lot of crabs, flounder, and small lobsters. I also saw what looked like a really big reddish blowfish. It was following us around and kinda freaked me out. My friend and I went up and down one side of the jetty. Overall it was a good time. I'm definately doing it again.

I called the police station and asked about parking. They said everything in that area is parking by permit only. Since I am a resident of Hull I can get a permit. Finding a spot next time won't be as bad. The officer told me they really enforce parking when it starts getting warm out.

If anyone wants to go out in the future let me know.

Yes, we went out on Sunday morning. As for parking, we had flyers on our cars when we got out informing us that it's $25 to park at the tavern directly across the street, and that as of June 1st they would tow. We saw the same flounder, crabs and small bugs as you did. Good dive, but a litle bit of a surface swim if you don't want to start using your air early. I would also go back anytime, as it is the closest place for me to get wet.
