Hey guys, im from NC and plan on doing some diving in FL. A good friend of mine just moved to dunedin (sp?) anyways i plan on taking advantage of that and doing some diving. Probably in the tampa, saint pete, and clearwater areas. Can anyone give me a heads up on some good relatively shallow dives? Probably in the 60-70ft max range. Thanks

Charter boat or your friends boat? Reef Tours, Tanks-a Lot and Sea Fox out of Clearwater, Treasure Island Divers (I think they still go out) from The St.Pete area.

21 miles out of Clearwater is the Sheridan and Blackthorne wrecks at 80' and working your way back in is tabletop, clearwater wreck, Rube allyn reef, veterans reef, north county reef........a whole bunch of stuff.
Went out to table top last week and had 15' to 20 vis, back to rube allyn where it was 15' or less. Vis changes constantly due to alge, red tide and weather.
