Assuming noone has any reasonable complaint? I'd like to start a thread to repost GUE DIR-F class announcements.

For those of you curious about what the DIR-F class is, please do a search on ScubaBoard, or check out the class outline at http://www.gue.com/classroom/standards/2/1.shtml

The reason I'm bothering to repost here is that 1) The GUE web calendar is notoriously incorrect and incomplete :) 2) a non-trivial number of people express interest at various times of wanting to know when a class might be in their area... I have hopes that this thread might be of some use to those people.

I'd be slightly hypocritical if I asked noone to reply or hijack, but please consider choosing another thread to espouse opinions in ;)

That calendar is often incomplete and slow to be updated.

That calendar is often incomplete and slow to be updated.

Unless you live close to a GUE instructor, DIR-F classes mostly have to be put together by students, or the LDS.

Anyone interested basically has to round up the required posse before scheduling the class.

For that reason, they tend to be both spontaneous, and already full by the time you here about them.

That may be some of the scheduling woe.

FYI, that class is being taught by Andrew Georgitsis and Dave Rhea. It will also have GUE ITC candidates there as well.

If I had the time, I'd love to take this one again in Florida.

Jan 17-19 put together by www.the-scuba-shop.com and being held at Brownies in Ft. Lauderdale.

Now I know who booked the charter that I wanted to take w/ Brownies! I called up and they said they had a large class that weekend and couldn't schedule me in.

Have fun!
