2-in the US we don't typically distinguish between 200 and 300 bar valves because our fill whips are universal, if you don't have 300bar tanks then no need to use 300bar valves

200bar valves have no problems with 300 bar pressures. My carbon fiber tanks have 200 bar valves, they are filled to 4200psi right now (just under 300 bar). The 200/300 bar fitting distinction is complete nonsense similar to the mostly French effort behind the M26 fitting. None of those have any bearing on their ability to hold either a pressure or a particular gas.

the only specific example for the US scuba world I can think of is the 3500psi PST tanks that are 300bar only with the 7/8" valves, but yes I think splitting all the valves the way they do in Europe is a nuisance at best.
