It's official now, the GTBUP is the newest Michigan preserve. The State hs officially approved it.

Do you have some internal e-mail service? It would be nice to see at least a copy of the e-mail.

I haven't heard anything and there's no mention of it on their website. I would think if they did get "Official" status, as you have stated, they would have made it known somehow.

C'mon, cough it up, let's see the proof.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything on the various state websites or any news releases. I'm guessing it's been approved but not acted upon yet?

It's been approved, it is official, and GTBUP has been notified. I"m sure I can find the phone number if you'd like to give the State a calll and verify.

If you could PM me the number that'd be great. I'm working on a story where I'd like to have that information. I just need to know, and verify, if there are now 12 instead of 11 preserves in Michigan. Thanks.

Well, ya sure don't sound very excited about them forming there dab. I would think having a new (or more) underwater preserve in Michigan would be gladly accepted by divers from all over. What gives?

It seems that a better question is why is a "nevada" diver trying so hard to create controversy among Michigan divers? What gives?

I'm from Kalamazoo and fly corporate jets. My job takes me around the world and my base of operations changes when our business is hired out to corporate heads from around the nation. Right now I'm in Reno, before that, Nashville, before that, Grand Rapids. I'm a Michigan native. My dive training started in Michigan and like "cold water" diving over the "warmer Caribbean".

Now, my question wasn't controversial unless you took offense to it. So I ask you "Why is a Michigan diver" like you, opposed (in tone) to another underwater preserve forming"? I'm not "creating controversy". All I did was ask a simple question. What do you know that I don't to give of a negative tone?
