Hello there,
My name is JIm Dunn. I have lived full time on the island of Roatan for four years. I first visited the island in 1988 on a dive vacation that was supposed to have been one week and turned into three. It was very remote back then, only 10,000 inhabitants, no power and 2 miles of paved road. It was very beautiful then and still is, although it has grown significantly in the past five years. We even have four stop signs on the island now, mostly ignored. And an elecctric company, telephone system, cable television and internet have made their way into our lives here.
I met one of your new members here at the airport this afternoon. She suggested I sign up and let you know who I am. If you would like more detailed information about the island please e-mail me at jimdunn_roatan@yahoo.com. I'll answer any questions you have if I know the answer or put you in contact with someone else that can. For those of you that haven't visited please do, for those that have we'll be glad to see you back here.

Regards,
Jim Dunn

Hey Jim, welcome to the board. I know you will get a lot of e-mails from the 40,000+ members on this board. Your Yahoo acount may overload. I have not had the priviledge to visit your island, but I hope to visit it some day. You know what it is all about $$$.

Yes, a lot of here visit Roatan. Several of us just passed thru your charming airport as a group a week ago. I was impressed that the airport air conditioner was working. It is a lot more developed that Utila's. :D

You are welcome to put your information, links, email address etc in your Signature, if you'd like - up to 4 lines anyway, and you might even want to post in our Market Place.
