I'm a Fish!
Hello all
Just thought I would drop in and say hi. I'm a Divemaster in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Give me a shout if you ever need info about our Pacific Coast diving. We often do trips to dive sites with everything from whales to nudibranchs.

cheers

Hi rivermonkey,
Welcome to ScubaBoard, lucky you, diving with whales, many here on the board would love to dive with whales. What kind of water temps do you have in that part of the Pacific?

Yeah its not often we see them on dives but every once and a while they are around. We saw a large pod of pilot whales last week and have humpbacks come in every so often, as well as orcas a few times a year. Water temp average is around 84-85F but sometimes it can drop to as low as 67-68 when a swell comes in. Most often its nice and toasty though.

cheers

Welcome to SB.com! PM me if I can help you find your way around here....

You'll like it here. I'm hoping to get your way soon. I hear great things about Costa Rica. I'm heading to Cancun next month and toyed with the idea of sneaking over to Costa Rica instead.

Welcome to Scuba board! Where are you in Guanacaste. I have spent significant vacation time there [Hotel Iguanazul, Playa Junquillal] in the past. Never have been diving though. I'd love to hear more about it.

Hey Rivermonkey, welcome to SB.

My housemate is a Tica and her brother (last name Duchesneau- French father) used to operate a dive shop somewhere on the west coast of Costa Rica (she's not here or I'd ask her).

Dive buddy Andrea and I are planning a dive trip to Costa Rica in January. Primary destination will be Cocos. Any suggestions on Costa Rican dive ops that go there?

Enjoy the board... we look forward to your knowledge about Central America!

Dr. Bill

Pura Vida Rivermonkey,

Hello and welcome from this Tica. I'm a Tica living in FL and also new to this community. Lots to read and see.
I'm not certified yet, but can you guess where I'll be diving once I do? Ha!

Welcome,
Tyme
