- I just don't log dives
I had a couple of great dives with Jim Abernethy's SCUBA Adventures in Palm Beach this Saturday!
The entire crew really had their act together, gave a great dive briefing and entry/exit instructions, took an actual roll call to make sure everybody that went in also came out, and last, but not certainly least, took us to a couple of great sites.
I was unfortunately a little foggy from waking up at 5:45 am, and don't remember the name of the first site, but it was very cool, since it contained huge numbers of fish that were different colors from those I normally see (brown/gray-brown/green-brown)
The second dive, which I beleive I do rememeber the name of was "toybox", and was much better than I had even hoped for. We saw two huge rays very nearby, and a couple of giant (grouper?) that probably weighed more than I do. Also saw a number of huge lobsters, which would have found their way to the end of my fork, if they were still in season and a ton of multi-colored fish I wouldn't even attempt to name.
We also heard a cruise ship pass nearby. I'm not sure how near, since I couldn't see it, but the noise was so deafening that I hit the dirt down behind a huge concrete pipe until it passed. .
It's a great operation, and I'd dive with them any time.
Great Dives!
