This is my first Oil Rig dive. It was a great day, strong current, but viz was at least 60-70 feet. Blue water.

Love that last picture -- it looks like you merged two separate photographs together!

The oil rigs, when the viz is good, are an extraordinary dive. The last time I was out there, the current was ripping, but it was blowing all these cool deep water creatures through the rigs -- salps and jellies and all kinds of oddities. It was great fun to watch them, but I was sure glad I had a scooter!
 
Wow!! There have only been a handful of times in socal that I've seen vis like that....unfortunately, none have been on the rigs yet! I can only imagine how much fun you had :D

I wanna do that so badly. Who was the operator?

Sea Bass out of San Pedro. They're great BTW. Fast boat, Nitrox on board and a real diver captain.
