We'd love to do some beach snorkeling in belize - any tips on where to go for an abundance of fish/turtles etc?
Also, we're stuck with the school holidays because of my 11 year old - are conditions in july/august just too unfavourable?
thanks

Near Silk Cayes (marine reserve) off the coast of Belize from Placencia there is a great spot for snorkeling where you are almost certain to see big turtles.

And July/August has been pretty good to us. For the most part, if it rains it's at night and you might even be treated to some fantastic thunderstorms. The crowds are smaller that time of year, too.
