GOOD Shore Diving in Bali?

We are finding some nice villas in Amed -- thanks for the suggestion!Will we be able to dive the year round in Amed? What is the wet season like there?Thanks,Bill

I am hereby trying to renew this post in the hope that someone can tell me what it might be like trying to live in Amed year round. Of course it's a lovely beach community, but what about the "winter"? I mean, what about risks of storms, flood tides, wind, etc. ?

And will diving be good year-round? HOW good?

Anywhere you go in Bali will have the wet season, typically starts in Nov and lasts until Mar or Apr. This means typically daily rain squalls in the afternoon but not everyday, also, sometimes it rains for 3 or 4 days straight, sometimes it doesn't rain for weeks at a time. Thats the tropics.
Yes, there can be storms but these can be at any time of year, including july, august etc where the waves are big, this affects everywhere on the coast as Bali is not a big island. As long as you get a place on the hill in Amed instead of right on the beach I would say storms and rain wouldn't affect you too much.
Yes, diving can be done all year round, but somedays it can't due to large waves, then you just wait a few days for them to go down again
