I'd vote for the Mares Puck. At $189 (Mares Puck Wrist Computer at LeisurePro) it's simple to use and the main display has just what you need to see in the biggest characters with other information smaller. Single button to page through all the other info available. Can be set for liberal or more conservative dive profiles. Bunch of other features.

I'm probably going to get one as a second computer. I dive solo and have been using a single computer. On Bonaire in November I had reason to rent a second and it made me think about having a second on every dive.
 
i'm looking to get my first dive computer. not wanting to spend a ton for my first one. and good used one is fine. only planning on doing rec.ow dives for now. but would like nitrox compatible and air intergrated. thanks for the suggestions

I'm also fan of the Hollis DG03 for $250 from divegearexpress. Good wrist computer, can grow with you. And when/if ready you can purchase a download cable or AI transmitters (up to 3).
