I'm going to be vacationing in Bethany Beach, DE. Does anyone know of any good LDS/ Charter Ops in the area? Also, I'm looking for some good wreck dives...any ideas?

Great, thanks for the link. They look like a pretty good operation, but it would appear they have a fairly limited schedule, especially at the time I am going to be down there. Do you know of anyone else who runs daily?

I'm going to be down there mid-August. Are there any good shore dives in the area?

I don't know. I have yet to dive the area at all. I plan on trying to get out on the surface interval in september when my place down in ocean city is not rented out. I might get down there for this coming weekend, but I don't know if I'll have an opportunity to dive as I'll have kid duty all weekend.

As far as I can tell there is no shore diving off the DE coast. I have been out on the SI a couple of times and they run a nice operation. This past Sunday was probably the best ocean diving I have done ... they had lots of no shows so in addition to great conditions (maybe 20-25 ft of vis on the first wreck and 35-40 on the second) we had a very small number of divers and got to do some smaller wrecks that they would not normally do with charters. On the second wreck (we were told to call it "the double secret crew-only wooden wreck) one of the divers brought up a 13.5 lb lobster and all of the hunters cleaned up. If you can fit into their schedule I would highly recommend it. Ted Green's OC Diver runs more trips out of Ocean City, MD which is just a few miles down the road.
