Go with your gut, Two-wheels.. I've dove with both Tortuga and Ocean Frontiers on numerous occasions over the years.. and while OF seems the better option on paper I have to say I really do prefer Tortuga. Only dove with them the first time as a friend insisted, expected the downsides mentioned here- cattle boat, full of newbie divers.. I really didn't need to worry! Far from being cattle boats they were large and spacious and actually felt less crowded than OF boats, even with a couple extra people. Consistently competent crews, great attitude to safety- and as more experienced divers they gave my buddy and me the courteousy of first in, last out so we could get good long bottom times. Ocean Frontiers has the better set up, but the boats really do let them down- slow, not so clean- and my last two visits at least one boat had "issues" and couldn't use both engines. Seem to have high staff turnover too. But you will love diving the east end, fab sites. Agree with Doctorfish, Babylon is great!

Don't forget about turtle reef. After your morning dives, pack up your gear, check out town, SMB and work your way north. pull into the cracked conch for a shore dive. The non diver can hang out on the patio and enjoy a cocktail while you're swimming. It's also a great snorkel spot. and/or night dive. imo, the best sunsets as well.....

On_Two_Wheels, How was your dive trip to the Cayman Islands? Our friends just gave us some timeshare points for Christmas and we are looking at the Morritt's Tortuga Club. How was the resort and dive operations?
