Well where to begin...

We are going as a group. There will be 10 of us in our little group and another friend is bringing another 10. We have 2 AOW students in the group with us and a big roaming party. We are already booked for the hotel, 3 tank boat dives on sat and sun and we plan on doing a few shore dives at casino point. (including night for the two students)

I am doing this as my first DM gig so i am excited about that all for a price so stupidly low I can't say how much it is costing me, the instructor threatend my happy parts if i said. :)

Anyway as I said first trip to catalin and I guess mostly looking for evening things and SI between boat and shore dives.

Thanks,

John

Sounds like an awesome weekend planned Jmani....Good luck to you doing your DM duties...:14:

I will be diving there tomorrow(fri) at the casino,I want to see what it looks like with no kelp.Plus I havent dove in almost 5 months so it will be a good refresher dive before bugs.

I was diving Catalina on the Peace last weekend, and some people I was with said Luau Larry's is a good bar. I haven't been to it, but they were huge fans.

Which boat are you diving on? I'll be on the King Neptune (where else would I be?).

Casino Point looks devastated due to lack of kelp but still a good site to dive.

Did someone charter this boat to go to Catalina cuz I never see them going out that way....

My absolute favorite dive boats in CA are the PEACE and SPECTRE. :14:

I think we will be on the King Neptune also...I know my instructor buddy is friends with somebody at scubaluv so he always books with them.

See you then!

Anyone know if you can bring doubles over on the express.

I'm jeleous you get to go. Catalina is great. and I agree Casino Point usually proves to be a great dive.

Yes, I know the feeling. When I used to live in L.A,. I did not think much of the kelp. Now, long since moved away I miss the kelp beds a lot. All you locals can be most grateful for such diving, as it is nowhere else to be found.
