"Are you a Buddhist or something? "

I happen to be a minister who is creating my own religion. But lets not get religious here.

The funny thing is, this is solo forum and yet, everyone preaches here that solo should not be taken lightly and you shouldn't do it before you have more experience, if you ask anyone here they will say "I solo, but I don't recommend it".

personally, I think solo diving is the most divine experience the ocean can give you, its concentrated around the experience itself of diving, the fishes, the corals, the tranquility in the experience, no buddy chasing, no buddy air checks, no more babysitting.

Like everyone here, I'll tell you this, I dive solo, but I don't recommend it, there are many things involved around solo diving, like who will recover your body, I recommend you'll read some of the posting in the forum to give you a better idea of the risks and how to handle them, also, in an OOA emergency, a pro will be able to surface without pneumothorax, an amature will die of suffocation, yes, even from 15 feet.

I believe in NAUI's moto, safety through education, are you prepared to invest a few months of just reading, practicing and diving with buddies so you can understand and accept the risks in an educated way rather than in an immature way of saying "if I'll die I rather die while diving"?

your choice, and what ever your choice is, I wish you best and good luck.

Don't know about you, but in almost all my new pursuits I've done things I thought were based on good decisions. In time I always look back and realize I was really doing something not good at all. Make your own decisions for sure, but just realize that right now your margin of safety is very thin. That's just a fact to respect. Enjoy!
