For once, the BCS Championship Game lived up to its hype! My hat is off to Vince Young (30-40-267 yards passing, 20-200-3TDs rushing) and the Texas Longhorns for their first undisputed national championship in 36 years.

Congratulations to y'all. Must admit I had hoped BOTH teams would lose this one. Too much football hype. However, it was an interesting game. At the end when Matt Leinert said something to the effect of "I still think we're the better team" I thought what a poor sportsman. He really made the University of Spoiled Children (USC) sound appropriate. Pete Carroll was much more of a sportsman about the loss. Later I saw Reggie Bush and ? Whyte comment on the game and they were good sports, too. Increased my respect for both of these great players
