I always use Straits Scuba in St Ignace. Larry and Larry are both super guys, the Rec Diver is a spacious and well equipped platform to dive from, and they do air fills. There are a couple of old docks accessible from shore as well as a wreck, but I think the public access to the wreck is no longer available. My dives will be a bit somber in the Straits this year with the passing of Mark Kistner.

There is a lot to do topside with Mackinac Island, casino, taverns and restaurants, and other touristy attractions. Plenty of lodging and campgrounds in St. Ignace and Mackinac City.

The Rec Diver is a bit dated and certainly is slow, but it very stable out on the the water.

I just love the Straits. A image from last summer:

TEEPEE campgrounds on US 23 right in Mackinac City. We stayed there last year and they were great to work with. They let us run the compressor off of the 220V line at the office.

Hey... I was wondering if anyone has any information on possible dives, operators etc. near Indiana Dunes National Park. I am going on vacation near Indianapolis next week and would love to go up and get some wreck diving in that I've been reading about... Any help would be much appreciated. Thx
